was just sitting outside, and i looked over at my beloved k5 and thought, "Good grief thats a dirty truck"

Now since my K5 is to big to go through the automatic car washes, the only time it gets washed is when i brake out the ol garden hose or take it to one of those "do it yourself" pressure washes...

And well that happens about 3 times a year. I think of washing it every now and then but then I think to myself "Eh, it will get washed the next time it rains"

So how about you how often do you wash your rig?

i think i/ve washed it once since i bought it a year ago. but it sat in the yard for 9 of the 12 months and it didn't have a top./ but i was thinking about washing it soon. thanks man. i guess i'll be washing tomarrow.

since the majority of my paint has fallen off in the past year, i gave up washing it, just kinda hose it down alittle, and clean what chrome i have on it, and the windows. :D

I wash my trucks daily in the winter. They don't go into the shop till all the salt has been cleaned off them.

If you don't they just get eaten away at an alarming rate!

During the summer, I wash it only when it gets dusty, otherwise, don't wash it much at all.

im "washing" them both right now (its raining :) )
during the summer: ~2 times in a 3 month period

i havn't washed my truck with soap in over a year. i have rinsed the mud off with a hose till i could see out all the windows and see somewhat what color it is. i need to wash it though, its getting bad. ill wash it before i paint it in the spring sometime

Vary rarely, I've owned mine for about a year now and I've washed it a grand total of maybe 2 times. I do always make an effort to keep the interior spotless, but as for the exterior - I think it looks good when its a little dirty. But that's just my opinion. Plus a camo truck doesnt really look much better clean then dirty, so that has something to do with it. :o

I wash my truck once a year, every fall, if it needs it or not.

;)

Yeah I have to admidt, that since i painted my truck flat black, it does seem to "hide" the dirt a little better. but when i did wash it, there was definatly a difference.

now every once in a while i'll not wash the truck but will scrub up the rims and tires...but thats mainly in the summer. because my summer rims are allum. and my winter rims are black steal.

Thorough cleaning after mud, Im talkin like 3 days wortha cleaning. With the old paint I didnt wash hardly at all, mostly because the rag turned the color of the truck because there was no clear left. With the new paint though, I seem to be doing it every week.

i hit it with 5 bucks worth of squirtin at the coin wash about once a week(since i go wheelin every sunday) the paint only gets washed if i cleaned everything underneath first and have time left over.

people dont like big chunks of mud and dirt dropping in front of them on the highway for some reason :eek1:

I usually only wash it after I play in the mud. In Germany it was about once a month. I washed it twice since moving back to CA.(not much mud here)

Any time I've got the pressure washer out.

That's about how often I do it. To bad my cousin put all that nice paint on it right befor I took it off his hands. I've been thinking of covering it from the body crease down with bedliner so it sprays off faster :D .
