Usually after about 4 wheeling trips i wash it. I hit alot of mud everytime i go out and it usually sits broken for a month inbetween trips so it gets pretty baked on. I havnt washed it now in 5 months and the new paint is dingy and not shiny anymore lol I also wash it when i need to do some engine work (no fenderwells) or anything where ill be working under it. I throw 3 bucks in the pressure washer and spray the underneath and then i hit the body so it never really gets clean lol.
I wash when it's dirty during the mid-spring through mid-fall. But when winter hits I wash nearly everyother week to keep the salt off of it. So far I have harly any rust anywhere but it just starting to pick under the paint in front of the rear fenders. In the decent weather months I often go playing adn wash within 2 days or mud get so damn hard it take $40 at the .25 per minute place, usually takes $6-8 for normal just dirty washing.
I'm that guy that's laying on a creeper under the Blazer at the car wash after salt is off the road and after every or every-other mud expedition!!!
Summer= near once a month (average), unless I play, then it might be more.
Winter= about every other week depending
I'd try to wash the underside while mud was still wet, easy to see broken parts, loose lines, and clean out the big moving parts. Outer body, I'd just blast the headlights, windshield, windows, and mirrors... enough to see, not gonna spend any extra money at the pressure washer washing the faded paint.
