Battery Isolator

So the one's on top are your power and they're linked together. And the one's on the bottom are your accessaries? So with them like that I can only run 5 accessaries or could I put two related accessaries on the same one. I tried finding something like that at radio shack (barrier strips?), but would I have better luck at a hardware store? I really want to do that so it's not such a jumbled mess. I get tired of snagging myself on loose wires everywhere. So I should run a big gauge wire to the power sides and then whatever gauge wire to my accessaries. Also where are you fuses? And how do you have them situated? I've been running inlines but would like to go to the little fuse boxes because they look more professional and are easier to replace fuses in.
 
They are self reseting circuit breakers. Auto Zone and places sell them. Much better than fuses!!!

Just make it up yourself with crimp connectors.

when I do my crew cab conversion all wiring will be perfecto.. not like I have it now :crazy:

using 2 fuses and 2 relays right now..... it mounted on bolts that were already there.... that is why it is on an angle....

I wanted to double check the instructions for mine before I told you something incorrect. So from what mine says (Sure Power Industries), the isolator would only be used in a diesel application if there was a third battery being used. It's that third battery that your high drain accessories would be wired to.

In a situation where you are only running two batteries in parallel you would use a battery separator, in which case (I'm assuming) your high drain accessories would be wired to one of the starting batteries.

Running dual batteries in parallel (where one is used for high drain application and without a separator) can lead to damage of the batteries and offers little advantages (in my opinion) in the manner we use our trucks.
