I haven't started thinking about next summer, but I wasn't planning on doing BB. I don't have a rock truck and I get bored whenever the wheeling gets slow. Maybe I just haven't been bit by the right bug yet, but if it needs a doubler it's probably not the right kind of trail for me. I'd be out running with the stock XJs on the easy stuff. :haha:

Wifey is more eager to go, so that ensures that it's a possibility. It's 1500 miles away, so it won't be a sporadic trip if it happens. You could probably swing by for a day-trip, comparatively. :pimp:

Straight up Arches is very close. Like very very close.

You could spend several days doing all the hikes.

Most trails in Moab are in the if your rig is reliable and you have a capable spotter are very do able. I have done hells revenge in a stock samurai, did I need help, yes I did. Have done Golden Spike with a stock IFS Toyota, he also needed help but not much.

Usually first timers want to stop WAY more often then the guys who have been several tines. Picture taking of the scenery is very common. I've been a bunch I see something new everytime
 
Been organizing the event 10 years, and have visited the area at least half a dozen more times besides. All that and there are still trails on my "bucket list" that I haven't done.

Yep. We got the nickle tour of Arches 3 years ago (on pavement, en route to SLC). We really enjoyed it and would be happy to make it a destination sometime instead of a brief stop. Lots of neat stuff there. As for Blazer Bash, one of the biggest reasons we've passed on it the last couple of years has to do with the time of year. I want to visit Moab during the cooler months, hot stuff is less fun in my book. It's not a big barrier. But this year Wade offered us a wheeling trip in May, so we did that instead (and didn't feel like making the trip out there twice in the same summer). It wouldn't be hard to work it into our summer trip if we planned it that way, we just haven't done so yet.

Part of why I haven't wanted to do BB yet is that I haven't had a truck worth taking cross-country yet. Is it really worth showing up to a wheeling party with no rig? :dunno:

The stars are starting to line up, my overlanding truck might happen this year. If so, the call to BB will be significantly stronger.

Yes, if I come, I will be the guy taking way too many pictures and holding up the pack. :rolleyes:
