yeah..we tried it without water first but he drove thru the brakes..I was late to a wedding reception and after I left they used the hose..I don't know what else they did to Ned while I was gone...He wont talk about it
Since the K5Camper was ready for a prior trip I'm at load and go status. I've got the entire week off and not yet decided what day to roll in. 7.5 hour ride depending on the route I take. I do have a long weekend planned in early August as another shakedown run in the CO mountains. Just to make sure my stuff is mission ready. The Green Machine will likely be going into surgery next winter, but the only thing I really need to do before Blazer Bash this year is a new steering box and front drive shaft. Possibly mount up a winch as well, we'll see about that.
I wouldn’t weld the front. I had a minispool last year and I could barely turn the wheel.New ujoints in the rear driveshaft, brake pads, and rear tires should be all set for this year. Debating tossing in some 2" lift springs and welding up the front.
But your specialI've been wheeling out there since 2007 with an open front.

Just go with decent tires without cracks and you will be fine. Moab has crazy grip on the "slick rock"True, but 1 wheel on your k5 has more flex than all 4 of mine put together hahaha.
So for this trip good tread and a loose nut behind the steering wheel, check. haha.
How you feeling, all good?

I understood it, but I thought that was a given around here. If it isn't referring to driving, then there is usually some other craziness that comes out! As long as you don't sing while wheeling, all good!Think my humor was missed
A/C? Who runs a/c in Moab? LOLPlans changed a little. Changing gears to 5.13s, spartan locker for the front, 52/56 swap with bilsteins, 4l80e w/sye np241, and some much needed A/C.
