BB 2019 Picture and Video thread

We had big plans for today, but plans changed... We started out on Seven Mile Rim.
We got to Wipeout hill and played around for a bit, then I decided to do some donuts in the sand at the bottom...

My PSC pump didn't like that, all the fluid that was supposed to be in my ps system was now so over the place. I'll post those pictures in the Carnage thread as soon as someone makes one...

Your camp mates going up Pikes Peak?

10-4 Rubber Duck, looks like we got ourselves a convoy! Bad Ass!

Met up with @Capt Ron in Pagosa springs this morning and cannonballed to Montrose. DSC_0111.JPG IMG_20190904_112032238.jpg

Made our way through Gunnison and past blue Mesa. Got into Montrose and picked up a paper map of the trail. I highly advise to have both the paper map and the gpx file on a device. We found a couple spots that didn't line up.

Then we hit the rimrocker. IMG_20190904_151949305.jpg

So the original plan was to make it to Buckeye lake to camp. Those following the spot link will see we stopped a few miles short of the target. We ran out of daylight, were hungry for dinner so I pulled into the first flat spot of ground I could find. Ron's son Mason cooked up a big batch of sausage with peppers and potatoes by camplight as we recalled our way up the trail. Dinner hit the spot as it was excellent.

I guessed we might have a pretty good view come morning. Yep. We do. I can't sleep in while camping. So I got up and watched the sun rise. Well worth it.
