You also follow a vehicle like yours so watching the line they go on works better. Like similar tire size, wheelbase etc.
I have been to Moab 4 times and understand it, I still don't know how to spot and read the line. I try to get behind someone close to my wheel base and rely on the spotters that I know.
I like to follow @blazinzuk he just points and says go over that rock.
What is a line and a spotter? I can not even see over the hood. I just drive until the Jimmy stops, then move it over a little and try again until it goes.
I feel like I'm derailing this thread, but we booked the same spot for the same length of time the day before we left as well. We'll be there the Saturday before through the Monday after again.
A spotter is just a radio call away. Usually there's someone already out spotting the group through the major obstacles.
The big thing about spotting is to keep the tires on the big rocks and the axles/driveshafts/etc. off of them. Easy enough.

I have an extra 400 miles on my trip so I’m thinking save 110 a month just to be safe.

I slept in my big rig sleeper.
I don't think I will get reservations anymore I paid a $100 for a crappy no hook up rv spot.
Didn't even use it the first night it's so far out of town.
For a 100 a night you could've had a cabin
