Are there tent camping sites at slick rock? Anyone know how much? Anyone have a phone number for the campground?

Also, is the 25 registration fee per vehicle or per person?
 
Welp, sent my reservations in for the 1st-4th. Looks like I'll be leaving here at 6am on Thursday and driving 11 hours to moab and arriving around 6-7pm with breaks and such. Maybe a little later if I pull over and power nap. Can't Wait!!!
 
I plan on showing up on Thursday also. I only have about a 7 hour drive though. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

BUT well worth any amount of driving. I just hope I don't have any bad carnage so far from home /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Probably just gonna do some of the easier trails to make sure I'm not stranded. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
 
I am going to leave Thurs night at around 6:00 I would guess, and should arrive around 8:45 to 9:00 that night. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

I made my reservations... How much on average did you guys spend last year. I already figured gas and reservations? Just wondering so I can budget. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
 
Way too much... I averaged 14mpg and drove about 1300 miles each way because I wanted to convoy with some club members. I spent probably $400 on gas alone. Then $66 on camping and about $50 on hotel rooms along the way there and back. Probably about $400 on parts to replace the ones that broke on the way there and back and about $100-200 on food (Restaurants in moab are pricey!). So thats about $1100 or so /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif .
 
Hopefully I can exclude the broken parts there and back. Are you driving through nevada this year. I know last year you mtblazer89 (bryan) in fernley. I was wondering if you were taking the same path this year.
 
Negative, I went up to Sacramento and spent the night then headed out with some club members and went through that way. This year I'm all by my lonesome so I'll be headed up through vegas, it's about half the mileage for me this year...
