Man, sounds like you had one of the best trips.
It might not seem like it yet, but soon you will realize what a great trip it was.

The trips were everything works perfectly, you make all the trails with no problems or damage are huge fun while you are doing them, but 2 years later, you would have trouble even remembering them.
Your 17 year old? I'm sure you have told him what a great job he did, but you need to take him to one side, sit him down, look him right in the eyes and tell him very solemnly that you are proud of the way he acted, and shake his hand.
Then, don't mention it much again.
My father did that for me 5 times in my life, and I can remember each one.
