Eric and I were all happy cause I picked up a rubber floor mat for $7 to lay on the trailer while we worked under the truck....Go over to Brent's and one side of his RV folds out into a covered shop. He's laying on fresh astro turf with a fan blowing cool air on him. With in arms reach is a roll out tool box bigger than a picnic table and next to that is a cooler the same size. Next year I know where I'm going when my stuff breaks.

I actually thought it was going to be worse than that. Didn't think there were any teeth left on the pinion at all.

Any damage to the carrier, housing, or locker?

Yeah, the pinion flange didn't spin for like 3mi of dirt road. I halfway expected the pinion gear to be broken off altogether. Haha!
Carrier, housing and locker are all fine. Gears, bearings and brakes are on the way, I'll have it back together by next weekend.

Broke the rear 14 bolt on Sunday at Crack in Back, drove back to town and loaded it on the trailer. Monday heading east on I-70 The F-350 blew its transmission going through Eisenhower tunnel. F-350 with camper in bed towing 24' trailer with the Blazer on it. Called 14 different tow companies before I found someone willing to tow the entire thing back to Elizabeth ( 100 miles ) for the low price of $950. Fresh rebuilt and improved 4R100, billet torque convertor, upgraded cooler and misc parts came out to $4300. Finally looked at the Blazer's rear end (1994 K5 not a Tahoe dammit ) and the passenger axle shaft was destroyed. 3 hours of cleaning out the shavings and chunks, and an hour cleaning the groove the "outer" piece made inside the tube. Time to hit the junkyards for some shafts.

Also, I twisted my ankle. 800mg of ibuprofen fixed it.
