They need pics of the rigs that run their gear. If you have the ck5 sticker on there it would do great for our site too.

I'll send this information in to them later this morning.

Hey Daniel,

Your ride looks very cool!

Just curious though... Do they have your information mixed up? It says you're running the 5.5" front springs and the 4" rear springs with a 4" ORD shackle flip. Wouldn't this give you 8" total rear lift and only 5.5" in the front?

I'm not trying to be a PITA, but have been looking at BDS's lifts for my Suburban and just trying to figure out what combo I want to run.

Thanks,

Robb

No, they have it right.
I have a Dana 60 in the front. The spring perch is about an inch of lift more than the stock 10 bolt. So, almost 7" in the front.
The back has 4" bds springs, 4" ORD shackle flip, and a 1" block I fabbed to move the rear axle back 1.5" and up 1".
So the back has 9" and the front has 7".
The rear wheel well opening is 3/4" lower than the front. This is with the top on, a 36" ss spare tire and tools in the back...

OK. That makes sense now. Thanks for the clarification. Again, the truck looks great! I'm gonna assume that you are happy with the BDS products. Think I'll be going that route, myself.

Take care,

Well Burb... I love my BDS springs... I wouldn't have done anything different in that aspect. They ride and flex awsome, with all the body roll of the softer springs. Only bad thing I have ever heard is that they sag, but then that was on person and Glen at BDS says they will warrenty them for that anyways... the shocks ain't half bad either.

I gotta send in some pics

Thanks for the feedback, Mikey. Did you go 4" or 5.5"? Also wondering if your truck sits level after the lift? I've talked to Glen at BDS about my Suburban, and although mine is a 3/4-ton, it still has the 52" springs (some did, some didn't I've found). Glen says he can put something together, using the 1/2-ton springs and the 3/4-ton box kit to fit the 14FF rear axle. If yours is a 14FF too, and sits level, I'd feel much more comfortable with this kit. Although, I suppose if mine sags after the lift, I can always go with ORD 1", 0-rate add-a-leaf.

Thanks for the help,

Robb

Well I will be able to give you my picture, as soon as I get my BDS lift installed. I am really getting excited about finally getting my truck lifted. My lift is only a 2.5 inch lift with 33 x 12.50s but that was all I really needed, but as the people on the board say you should have got the 4 inch lift, yep i fully understand all of your points and know what you mean. All my friends have Jeeps one has a 91 xj and the other has a 01 wrangler a (pretty boy Jeep) lol, the guy has 2.5 with 31 x 10.50s on his, my other friend the laredo, he is fixing to get a 2.5 but with only 31's so i said, I have been the biggest for 3 years, i need to keep the GMs on top of the game! Well just thought i would tell yalls this

Well Robb I can't really be of much help here... I have 1/2 ton stuff and had to go blocks in the rear...

I'm either gonna rebuild a 12B that blew up on me and put it in or try and find a 14sf maybe... I do know that man I had decent springs out back and went w/ a 5" Superlift block and 2 ORD Zero rates stacked.... plan to go to maybe a 8" spring out back and put one ORD zero rate up front and see how it sits after settling. I know Jeff (Solowookie) went 4" spring all around on his BDS lift w/ a 14FF out back and he said it sits level. If you have questions give him a pm... really great guy.

But the last bit I'll add is the lift is about the only thing that hasen't given me hassles... everything else has... from tires to axles...But the BDS are awsome!
