Oh, the way you did that one offset in the outer rectangle made me think it was designed for something

Nope, just playing.

At some point it will not be that way, but I dont want to make stuff for people until im comfortable with it.

Ditched the crank, it was way to awkward. Wheel allows you to shuffle your hand and not have to move your upper body etc.

I was kinda going for an old school film projector reel look...

And there is this little kid posted all over the silverlake fb page that got sick as in bad shape in the hospital, so people made a page on fb called #pullinforliam, so I made him a get well present.

Thats a classy move right there Adam :waytogo:

I saw one person adapt an old steering wheel to his bead roller.

Lookin' nice! I like the signature, too. I'm seeing quite a bit of artistic flair here. Even more so than in the build thread. Though I guess you have a lot more opportunity for artsy stuff when carving sheet metal than you do when setting up gears.

Either way, rock on. :saweet: Let us know when you're ready for custom orders.

Thanks guys.

I got a 4x8 sheet of aluminum chopped up into pieces on Saturday, so I have quite a bit of material to play with for a while. I really need to get a tipping die so I can play with doing diamond shapes.

And yeah I have been trying to definitely get more artistic on some of it. I have a habit of doing stuff symmetrical etc, so this is really helping me think outside the box some. Throw in some odd offset details here and there and it looks kinda cool.

Lol, havnt really figured out how to do small words yet. I need a lathe so i can make some custom dies....

Made a cowboys start thingy for a guy tonight. This one only took an hour start to finish, so thats pretty neat ;)

That's great work Adam. One of the pieces of equipment I also wanted to manufacture along with my tube roller was a custom bead roller similar the the high end Mittler Bros unit. Bead rolling as an art form is not hard to do.

It's like quality body work. Or precision anything. Prep makes or breaks final outcome. Layout your lines carefully. Symmetry is important. Following your line is super important. Learning the machine is important. What it's limitations are and what it will allow you to do and not do. I've wanted a bead roller for so many years. Since I still have the cnc. If I can get my shop setup, I can design, machine, and build one. I want to finish my tube roller, the English wheel I want to build that I have steel for already, and a power bear roller. In no time Adam you will see your bead rolling progress quickly. Keep up the effort and good work.

I love working sheet metal. Really anything metal. But I do like sheet metal. Since I have a shop space now I so want a box and pan brake. I've got my still brand new close to 8 years old hydro sheet metal shear that's never been turned on yet lol. I know all about spending a fortune on tools. LOVE IT lol!

Played with circles today. Very glad i did the hand wheel as it has so much more control and consistence than the crank.
