That's a sick truck. And bad ass work brother. Its insane the hours it takes to accomplish that type of work. Most have no clue. Other then those on the know. I haven't ordered a bead roller yet, but its still a major on the wish list. I've gotten half my machine shop equipment hooked up. Getting things powered and functional and operating is current priority, but honestly can't wait to be doing some bead rolling work. I love artwork aspect of it.
Thanks dude! I need to take an hour and catch up on your shop thread. Been so swamped it’s hard to find time for anything these days.

Did you supply the leaf spring sticker? :pimp: :haha:

Also, your welding has gotten a whole lot better, assuming you did this one.

Haha yup I made that sticker like the first night.

And thanks! If I can tig it on a bench I can do a pretty good job.

Waiting for the new esab multi process Mig/Tig/Stick to come out. Has ac/dc tig.

Supposed to come out in September.

The Miller Synchrowave 210 can do that for a few years now...I really like it...

Work is looking awesome Adam! :saweet:

Are you sure it does AC and DC tig, along with Mig in one unit? I know a lot of them out just do DC tig.

What is this?
Explain to me the point of the horseshoes.

This crossmember needed to be removable to pull the transmission. But it was also the radius arm mount for the front beams so I wanted the crossmember to be super strong and prevent front to rear flex, while still being removable.

It was not the way I wanted to do it, but the customer provided the threat motorsports beams and radius arms and they landed literally directly under the transmission crossmember. He didn't want me to make new arms so that was the compromise.

Side note, yes the truck still has a transfer case. He just didn't want to spend money on a 2wd trans yet.

Yes I have it, welds aluminum easy on AC mode. I use it for TIG on chrome-moly, aluminum, stainless, etc, really like it for the price. Only thing is I don't use the MIG feature much because for MIG it uses a spool gun (works great with thick aluminum), but I don't care, I use my 211 for MIG anyway. And I've never used the stick feature either because why would I with MIG and TIG already setup. It's an inverter machine too so its pretty light and only requires 30A service. Although it has its own cart and tank holder so its not really made to be super portable, more of a shop welder for a lot cheaper than a Dynasty. And its made in Appleton, WI.

That's cool. Im actually mainly looking for a mig replacement and hoping to have it all in one machine. But the added benefits of pulse tig will be the cats ass. I was told that esab will be dropping there machine in September so we will see. I'm definitely going to go try it out first.

Yeah pulsed TIG is pretty nice, less total heat in the metal for similar penetration. The 210 has that, but its definitely setup to be more of a primary TIG machine, with MIG as a second operation.

I don't think you are going to want to swap back and forth between MIG and TIG all the time to be honest. Its not hard, no tools, just some T bar clamp handles and stuff most likely, but then you got to feed the MIG wire through the liner hose and swap the tank regulator between argon and C25 or something, etc. Only takes 5 minutes or so but for the cost of a decent MIG I don't see why you wouldn't have both and not have to switch back and forth so frequently. You will probably prefer to have two different machines in the long run if its for your fab shop.

Oh I'm hoping it will have all the options available at any time so it would be like 2 machines in one package. Have both whips on the table and only 1 ground.

If it doesn't work like that when it comes out then I will just buy one of each machine.

That would be impressive, you'll find out soon I guess, it would just require an extra connector and an extra gas solenoid valve. I'm guessing they will save that money and still be able to say it does both....
