Do those come with "her first tool set"?

JK. No more pads in this thread by me.

Haha.

So after looking at that tool I linked above, I think instead, im going to see if I could make my English wheel work as a multi use setup. Remove the upper wheel, and make it a rivet set tool. And a planishing hammer down the road.

But deep throat rivet set first.

I spent way too much time making the gas bottle mount today. But it came out pretty cool I think.

So, the guy from experimental aero got back with me. He said his machine is only good for dimples, and not rivets. So I said screw spending the money on that.

I forgot I had this super cool old destaco linear clamp. So I picked up some rectangular stock today from a friend, and im making my own. Its way beefier, and has 36" throat depth. Get ready for all the solid rivets :)

Those are some pretty welds.

Thanks. You can tell where I started, and where I ended. Because the first welds look terrible lol.

I need to look into a water cooled torch if im gonna do stuff like this though. That torch was so damn hot that I had to wrap the tig finger around the torch so I could hold it lol.

Looking pretty good. Some more practice and you'll be laying down some awesome looking welds.
I highly recommend a water cooled torch. Besides being able to due a lot more weld before cooking your hand the torch is smaller too. Which is nice for when you need to get it into a tight spot.

Nice, you even got some drop tines in there, that is probably my favorite piece of yours too.

I wish I had put more detail into the horns. But I was very tired from a weekend of way too much booz with dad and cousins and grandpa, and way too much sodium intake.

Adam, I thought about you Monday. We threw away a 55 gallon drum full of new (NOS?) unused rivets...3 VidMars full. All I could think was wishing I could get them to you without going to jail. Your tax $$ at work....

It's depressing sometimes, the chit we have to do at work...
