Wrapped up the stupid ten bolt and then worked on the rear brace bar for the upper coilover mounts. I got tired of getting crude in my face falling off the car so I decided to wrap up the evening with something easy. I suppose progress is progress, no matter how it comes. Mounted up the Mrk5 gauges in a cheap little panel I found on fleabay. It doesn't match anything else and i don't care. It's good enough.

Bent axles? That within spec?
Old axles out and new ones in. Hour twenty flat. Never in my life would I think I would be so 10 bolt proficient.
Maybe this 10 bolt is tired of me flicking it off?

This is my battery tray. 2 blocks of Wood, worn out bungie, a masonry bit, carb stud and big washer and rust.

Posi is still out of budget.
Still need to buy tailpipes and tires.
Those are my last "big ticket" items. And tailpipes aren't terrible at 200 bucks. But the tires I have/had my eye on are over a grand. Right now they are currently on a national shortage so I may just have to buy something else.
Insurance is due at the end of the month and I need to put plates on it.
So those 4 things hit my wallet for a tune of 2k+

Where was I going to get axles from? Sure zoomad has that 8.2 but out of a Nova it's a different width. No since in waiting trying to find used parts. Ordered Thursday and they dropped off today at 12:22.
They shipped from Ames, IA.

On the flip side of this, if you ever upgrade, let us know how much you get back. I’m betting you get the money back on the shafts. Somebody will want them
My C10 has a big zip tie for battery hold down. You need to get with the modern times.

I'm ok with a zip tie hold down just trying to stay away from. It falling through to the Rd while driving.
I like ratchet straps for battery hold downs.

Actually ordered the correct hold down. Most of my stuff doesn't even have one.
I figured with this fancy suspension. I might actually need one?
Of course, I don't need one yet. I'm sure I'll have to rebuild that 10 bolt a few more times before I get it on the Rd.
