I have always ran bearing buddies on my boat trailers in the past as loved them. My question is simple. Is there any reason not to run them on my truck trailer? I was going to pick some up when I get home but wanted to ask just in case.:dunno: :ears:

I am running them on mine and they seem to be cooler than before I had them. The other item is it eliminates maintenance too so that right there is the best selling point for me. Just think no packing wheel bearings just grease them every so often.

Yeah, I always loved the ease of use and ability to lube the bearings without removing them. I didn't think there would be a problem using them. I asked due to the fact that I see them on boat trailers constantly but have never seen any on any other type of trailer. Thanks for the info.

The reason they are popular on the boat trailers is simply to help keep out water. They really do not do the same thing as actually repacking a bearing, especially for the inner bearing.

With that said, I don't see any reason why you could not run them on any trailer.

I've got them on a boat, and i hate them. Grease guns are a pain in general......the new oil bath setups on boat trailers are sweet though.

But given the choice to repack the bearings, or grease the bearing buddies, the boat setup is probably ok.

I used them on my last trailer. The bearing cap's were missing so I bought bearing buddy's. I still packed the bearing's when I put them in but they seemed to work for my need's. I see no reason not to use them . Hope that help's.
