I ordered the set of 3 panels to replace the floor but they are not long enough to go from the gate to the front where the old one bolted on. Also, the new front panel doesn't have holes (no biggie).

Anyone else try these panels before?

Who did you order them from? Are they for the right year ie: 87(shorter by 6 inches I belive) and not a 77?

The difference between the '77 floor and the '78 and newer floors is at least 12". Sounds like you ordered the wrong year repair panels.

Unfortunately, the panels were for 73-91??? Didn't have a choice.....guess I'll have to look into it further as it is about 12" out......anyone know where I could order the longer panels?

Thanks guys - guess I should have checked here first (as usual!!!)

Try www.clasicparts.com

Blazer front bed floor section 45-845 49" wide x 25" long $69.95
Blazer rear bed floor section 45-847 left 36" wide x 38" long $69.95
Blazer rear bed floor section 45-848 right 36" wide x 38" long $69.95

OR use the ones for a reg truck...
Bed floor half section 45-857 left long bed 34"x 98" $124.95
Bed floor half section 45-858 Right long bed 34" x 98" $124.95

I could take the rear ones off you. Where did you order them from?

All i can find is the shorter ones that Metrodps has listed and they are short 8" or so at the front and do not have the bolt holes - any other ideas on where to source panels????

Still no takers????? Anyone have the factory part # for the longer front panels???

If not I guess I'll have to get another set of rears and flip and fit to the front....

www.classicparts has a bed floor patch panel
45-842 16" wide x 48" long $29.95 you could jus use it to fill the gap. I am thinking use the long steel bed floor and then you only have one cut. Down side is it is $599.00 plus shipping. Guy had a whole set of floor pan metal on ebay a few weeks ago for $1,500.00 in Dearborn, MI didn't sell it had one piece floor.

Hi All,

Has anyone else come across a source for the bed floor panel for a 1972 GMC Jimmy...? I saw the bed floor 3-piece option at LMC for a 73-91 but I think someone earlier mentioned that it would be too short... The floor from what I can tell is one whole peice but LMC does not carry it in their catalog for the 69-72 models year..? Damn, they have practically everything else, why not a bed kit..? Geez... Well, if anyone knows, please drop a line.. I am also looking for the long rail that goes across the back of the bed and below the tailgate that reienforces everything.. I looked on the pickup side and they all say it's for the fleetside - no mention of the Blazer/Jimmy.... Thanks in advance..

Please don't hate me! Makes you want to cry a little don't it?

Awesome, so is this something I can order through the local GM dealer or will I have to give up my first born in shipping fees...?

Opps, after further review.....(Part #15571692) will only fit from a 78-91' Jimmy/Blazer, the earlier floors (73-77') were a little bit longer.... Well, back to square one.. Besides, my gas filler tube is on the drivers side and this one appears to be on the passgrs side... Well, I will go down to the chevy dealer and see if one can be ordered anyway...

Haven't made them in over ten years! Just watch eBay and if your lucky you might find one. Plan on the left and right one $300 in freight from Maine to Ohio.

Wow, so they did make them...

Oh Well,

Unfortunately, I have already started the long process of locating a regular pickup bed and dismantling it. I just had it sandblasted and we are getting ready to measure, measure, cut, measure again and so on to fit it into the bed. It will be very time consuming but it will be much stronger than the original due to the added support strips underneath.
