Bed liner in interior... Which is best.

Were trying to cover these 2.

My buddy just hoped to find a cheaper way to take the tinniness out of his roof without the $210 on kilmat it would take.
Looking at the price of these mentioned it looks like he'll be at that anyway.
Mine I just wanted texture and black. To cover all the kilmat in it. I figure paint will crack AMD such on it :dunno:

Yeah I wouldn't paint the kilmat...

As far as taking the tin sound out of large expanses of sheet metal. I have heard of great success with even a single 12x12 sheet of sound deadening material in the Center or close to it of the panel.

Did this myself on a smaller scale with my doors on my suburban. Probably less than 8x8 square inside the door on the outside panel made the doors sound much different when closing and transmission of road noise.

Raptorliner in black my entire floor. Then kilmat over top in the front passenger area. No issues with smell in the summer heat or on the trails in Moab at 100+.

It did need to cure for a long time before it quit smelling when I initially put it in. Just FYI.

I just noticed you applied the raptor on part of the door jamb. What exactly was your reasoning for doing it? I have the sill pieces I will install after.

The paint was worn through on the driver's side from feet dragging over the sill. This easily solved a couple things of covering the bare metal, protecting the sill from further damage, and giving a slightly abrasive surface to step when necessary.

What did you use to plug the various floor holes up while spraying the raptor liner.

For the most part I didn't. Didn't have any issues when putting bolts back in. But if your worried just go buy a bulk pack of foam ear plugs and put them in the holes.

Or just thread some spare bolts in you don't care if the liner gets on.

I liked your idea of lining the bottom door jamb....I wonder how the threshold plate I have would do on top on top of that. I would need a better adhesive than the peel and stick it comes with. With the unevenness of the raptor liner, I would need something like a jb weld product...you think that would be enough to keep it held down good ? Am I better not using the raptor liner in the door jambs at all.

I also like how you did your tailgate with the raptor liner. Tomorrow I'll be doing my floorboards and will post some pics.

I think you could get it to stick. Maybe using something like 3m double sided tape like they use for emblems would work. The Raptor liner does smooth out a bit when it drys so its not too uneven I don't think.

If necessary spray a portion of the floor you know you want raptor on to use up a bottle. Then wait for it to dry and see the texture before continuing...?
