So Ive been away for a while from on here. Could it be because I'm embarrassed because 2011 has been the year of Dodges for me? Well I could say that but truth is I've just been busy. But please forgive me... I have been driving DODGES all year!

It started out with this '90

Then this '93

Then this '89... that in turn got traded for...

This other '93 Dually

Then a 2002... never owned anything from the 2000's before

And a '96

And a '98
312953_209430789129456_100001876087345_520712_2079130479_n.jpg

Then sold the '98 and '96 and got a '95

The only reasons were the Cummins motors. The black '90 and white '93 flatbed are both apart now and becoming Chevy transplants. Eventually I'll go back to all GM except maybe the blue '95 Dodge.

been at least a couple yrs since we've seen ya Allen, welcome back... don't sweat the Dodge, I'm buying a second gen with a Cummins myself in the spring...

The green K30 has a hydraulic dump bed. Got it to put another plow on. But the cab has a little rust and the 454 has a mystery noise, and another friend wants the 400/205.

So the plan on it is to swap on my '82 rust free K30 cab I have with a 1990 nose clip and put a 12 valve Cummins in it with an NV4500/205. My dilemma is gears right now. It has a C&C 14 bolt rear and a 60 front. I want to keep it a dually. I have two 14-bolts, one with 3.42 gears and one 3.23... which I'd be happy using but no Dana 60 gears were made to match up.

So may have to swap Dodge D70 3.54 gears into a Chevy D70 dually rear end I have and swap that under it and swap 3.54's into the 60 front.

And more proof I'm still a Chevy person despite the Dodges still have gotten a few more GM products this year. Got this '90 K5 that the previous owner had swapped an NV4500 into. Just had the radiator and catalytic converter and stereo stolen and he got fed up with it. Picked it up for $1000.

Already got rid of the 1/2 ton 3.07 ratio 10-bolts and the rear lift blocks in favor of rear lift springs and a 14-bolt FF rear with 4.88 gears Detroit and disc brakes and Dana 60 front with 4.88 gears and Detroit locker. Basically gave up on my blue '84 K5 and used the running gear under this one instead since the body is straighter.

Good to see you back. I recently came back myself and have caught myself wondering what happened to you as I always liked seeing your current project. Never could remember your username though.

Lots of us have dodges, I picked up a '94 Cummins and as much as I like chevys it's a lot better tow rig/dd than my newer 1 ton chevy was.

Good to see you back!

So the question is how many D60's do you have now???

Counting the balljoint Dodge version 60 fronts as well, the current count is 36.

The all time peak for the most I've had at one single given time was this fall at 38.

Currently
(6) 3.54 ratio Dodge (2) Balljoint drivers side drop (4) Kingpin Pass side drop
(4) 3.73 ratio
(7) 4.10 ratio
(4) 4.56 ratio
(6) 4.88 ratio
(6) 5.13 ratio
(2) 5.38 ratio
(1) Gearless

And homes for each one if not already in a rig.

Nice I have one now and it only took me like 3 years!!

Some of the trucks I was hauling were mine but alot went to scrap this year. sad to see so many things get scrapped but no one will even buy parts or pay what stuff is worth in steel these days around here.

When I came down to Oregon and got that transmission and was towing that K5 I was driving that green loaner Dodge truck. Then I didnt have any diesels or anything fuel efficient to tow with and I put that tranny and t-case in a '91 Chevy Crew Cab that I towed with and drove through last winter and into spring.

But I was getting like 5mpg with that truck. Used it until the toasted that tranny towing unfortunately when some friends were driving it. Then I traded it off for a van and a snowplow.

Out of the Dodge tow rigs, I like the power of the 2002 HO Cummins which has the Edge superchip but the programmer isn't hooked up and its on some setting that blows alot of black smoke and doesn't get good fuel economy. I like that it has rear disc brakes and has the 6spd manual and tows well despite being a shortbed.

But the 12V in the blue '95 we got I think will outpull it. It's a stock 12 valve with now 314,000 miles but has some Banks PowerPack kit on it with a twin ram intake and once it gets going it just goes and still gets an average of 15-16mpg.
