Hello all. I had an awful belt squeal after installing new compressor. It should noted that this truck has been sitting since 2009, I have other posts about it's rebuild if your interested in the history.

No matter what I did I could not find the cause. Since I also need help bleeding my brakes, (see other post about that), I asked the garage to take a look at it. I post this because I never thought to check the alignment of pully's etc to each other before.

Michael, at the garage, reported that the problem was the compressor bracket being out of line and could not be tightened down because bolts were broken. In order to fix it he had to remove the header and remove/replace two broken bolts.

$240.00 to solve that problem. I do not find that amount UN-reasonable since I likely could not have done it myself at any price.

Anyone else seen this before ?
