BENDER stays in hibernation with me

Well hell. Then I'm lookin into the new '99 MC I put on. Might have to another one. Pedal feels good, could there still be air in the lines?

Yah i wouldnt say its because of vacuum. Most likely something else in the brake system. Just thought id toss it out as me and him have identical motors for the most part. (besides all the emissions stuff, mine makes up for what his saves...)

When I put a new master cylinder on and bled the rear lines with the new discs it took forever to get the brake fluid coming out clean.

Also, there is a possibility that your stock PV can lock to one direction and only allow flow to to front if the back doens't have enough pressure to equalize it. There is a procedure to put it back but I don't remember it. However, if you are getting fluid out the rear when you bleed it then that isn't your problem. Are you bleeders at the top of your calipers? (I'm assuming you have discs, but I haven't looked). Because if the bleeders aren't all the way at the top then you can have trapped air. You can also trap air in the lines.

DId you bench bleed the MC before you installed it?

EDIT: I just looked at post 409 again, and yep, you have discs. still a great pic too.

I have another shop working on it currently. They can make lines and flare them while I'm at work. They have the '85 1 ton MC too if the other one gives them problems. The bleeders are straight up and were originally bled with a pressure bleeder. Not sure what this new shop uses. Sucks not being able to work on it myself but I need money and I can make more than they will charge.

You still need to bench bleed the master cylinder right before you put it on. That will make it MUCH easier and more likely to get all the air bubbles out when after you put the master cylinder on and bleed the system at the calipers.

Didn't get very many useful pictures or video shots when I took the blazer out last weekend. Brake pedal is spongy, though it's been bleed to death with a vacuum bleeder. They worked good enough to take it out locally. Truck did very well, except the mud. I got stuck once and that was enough, I hate cleaning up mud afterwords anyway.

Here's a video, it's got old footage and pictures thrown in too.

Oh yeah, also....towards the end there is video of my climbing up and then stopping. That sh1t was steep! and had an awkward drop off to the right. I will be back for that rock some day. Nobody was even trying it :) I need a little more experience, better spotter, and probably a cage. Need to finish fender trimming too. :)

@ 3:40 is the rock face
@ 45 seconds, there are people sitting on a ledge. That is the top of the rock :D:woot:
@ 2:25 it is in the background to the left

You know how there are obstacles that taunt you and become some kind of goal. Well..... this is my next one.

Wow great vid :thumb:

That really puts into perspective how far you've gone with this thing. I'm sure it feels rewarding to finally be able to take it off road again after everything you've come through with all the issues you've had on this build. Congratulations man! :woot:

I thought you were going over backwards right before the 4:00 mark too! :eek1:

haha, if you look over the roof of the toyota, dead center, you will see me stuck in the background. :) Damn river, or whatever the bottom is made of, swallowed me 3/4 of the way through. :D I had to try and cross it, especially after seeing a Jeep do it easy :doah:

That has to be the muddiest place in the West. Is it always like that, or is it a lake during part of the year or what?

If there were a place like that over here in the East or the South, it would be on private land and no one would get to drive in it. :frown1: Boo hoo hoo.

It is Azusa Canyon, check out all the videos. As the water comes out of the mountain, it goes through the mud pit. Levels fluctuate through the year, currently the playing area is about 40%, the rest is water. After that dam, is another reservoir with a hydroelectric dam.

When the mud pit is closer to the dam, the mud playing area is greatly increased from shore to shore. It gets mega crazy when the water is let out that far, all the big dogs come out to play.

I prefer to watch the mudders. My playing area is much bigger than theirs, anywhere there isn't mud and sh1t to climb. :)

Good to see you out and about in it. It looks pretty good, I like the bumpers, wheels, tires, everything. Nice job.

I wonder if there may be a GM of the Month nomination in your future?
:woot::haha::doah:

all I know, a few days after wheeling again, is the personal expectations are so incredibly high right now for my truck I'm salivating for more. Going from open diffs and 31 AT tires to...... well....... locked 38s :haha::woot::woot::woot::haha:

And just think - you were wanting to throw the towel in and say to heck with it about 9 months ago. I bet now you're glad you stuck with it. :waytogo:
