BENDER stays in hibernation with me

Short, first part of the video. I received it from the camera man in two parts and stupid iPhones are a bitch to edit. The other video is just some random trail I got started on and realized it's kinda tight too.

The smile on your face at the end of the second vid above says it all. Also I like your understated "that's a squeeze" conclusion. [emoji3]

Well after reading through the past 5 or 6 pages of your thread I got pumped to hopefully meet up with you at the rubicon in a few weeks! And get my blazer all prepped for it :thumb:

haha

thanks guys
I had a blast with those "tight fit" trails, good thing I'm not worried about paint.
And I can't wait for Rubicon!

Just got my Rubicon 2015 sticker from Scott. Thanks man!!

And I've had the "Rubicon &" sitting around for a while now, couldn't add it to the "Moab Approved" until it was true :D

And just for Shiggles, some footage from the Rubicon thread posted here too.

Finally!!!! Got around to putting this piece of aluminum on the back of the bench seat. Only been kicking around the garage for a few years.

Should protect the back and hold the stuffing in the back better. As most know, the damn stuffing likes to push though the back around the corners, doesn't help comfort.

Also pulled all the factory seat belts out of the bench, plus the tilt and latch cover. That stuff started to annoy me. Now, it's going in the FS section :D

Rubicon part 3
since some people will see it here and not the lounge

Why smaller tires? Just a good buy?

Martin

I was running 38 x 15.5 x 18. The rear tires were beginning to worry me. The fronts looked good and still had a lot of life left. I bought the whole set almost new for $800. Sold 'em for $600. Also, finding tires on CList for 18" rims is really tough, at least 38+. The new set is 37 mounted on 17"s, so the tires will last me a while and the rims will come in handy for the future as 17s are popular and the tire manufacturers support the size better.

This new set cost me $850. Tires are great but tread is only 1/2 of new. As we all know, we never really get ALL the tread used before it's all chunked away :doah:

Old tires went to a Ford 4x4 '92 E250 with D60 rear and Ford D60 king pin front. Looked ok but new owner needs to learn a lot more about this stuff.
