anyone use one of these before? I'm not talking 2" dom or anything, but mayby some 1" stuff for making grab handles and such? just pondering ideas running around my head...

www.harborfreight.com, item # 31980, link won't work.

I thought the kinker was the orange one they have with the jack in it?

Yeah, that one's the hydraulic fancy one; the one linked is the cheap manual one =))

I s'pose it bends flat stock ... I have one like it, but you can't bend more than, say, ~1/2" pipe with it, and even then you gotta do it in bits, like 10-20* at a time/

I got one of those for free...Hmmm. If you want to make brackets outta flat stock, it works. So does a vice. It is useless for tubing of any sort.
Save your money and get a real bender and youll beable to do more than grab handles. Its not worth the footprint in your garage.

It's meant for small solid stock...mostly ornamental work.
