Bertha, picking up where Shewheeler left off.

Ready to rock n roll and get a bunch of tacking done this morning...and then the cock block :doah:

Someone in China is :haha: right now.

That sucks, we've had spools wound incorrectly to the point they had to be tossed towards the end but never seen one split.

But they saved 1.2 cents worth of plastic... :doah:

I could give two sh*ts @ 6:30am on my one day off

This wire is garbage import anyway. Tons of spatter, smoke, n soot.

My fault though going cheap on wire.

Didn't we run out of wire doing the tube on your K10 on a Saturday? And run down to the welding supply for a new spool? This is that same spool :haha:

I don't even know how the spool split...but the wire being pulled kept falling into that split and getting jammed and not feeding :doah:

More funky notches. Stupid time sucking stuff. Measure lengths and angles 5x and cut once. Sorta one shot it and hope for the best

The two diagonal tubes to the rear have four notches a piece. The ends of each tube has notches at different angles.

So you notch the left's and rights at the same time and hope for the best :D

No real opportunity for fitting. Just math, careful measuring, and putting it together after cutting and hope it fits.

Dooooood, that was like 4 years ago! :D

We missed ya' this weekend. Moonlight was nuts out at Posi. Second guy up rolled it.

Your notches don't suck.

You have a LOT more patience than I do.

Martin

Thanks guys. I got a pretty good system for figuring this stuff out now. I used to guess at angles, cut things long, and then sort of sneak up on it til it fits. That sucks up huge amounts of time and there is wasted tube from time to time.

Now I measure the space where the tube is going, measure angles, cut the parts + nothing, notch, and the parts fit with no additional labor.

I don't even know why I did it the way I used to. I just didn't know better :D

It's 50% gone. I ain't been doin a whole lot.

I would have rather been with you guys than be at work for 10 hours repairing another techs un maintained garbage.

Looking good dood!

Thanks :thumb:

Getting ready to call Deaver and commit to a rear spring configuration. And then decide on a shock.

My new credit card should make it a little easier to choose :haha:

If money was no object, yes. :D

But for what I will be doing and as much street time as this thing will see, it's down to picking between Bilstein 7100s or 9100s.

I want bypasses, but I don't want more money in shocks than in the motor swap :D
