You'll probably get multiple different answers....

What will you be using your K5 for?

Do you need Articulation or just a lift to get bigger tires on?

Just about any of the companys will fulfill your needs... Superlift, BDS, Skyjacker, Rough Country, Tuff Country, Rancho, etc...

I have had two Superlift kits and liked those. One was a 4" HD and the other(current) is a 6" Superride.. There are about 6 or so people in our group that run Superlift and we are all happy... Just my .02 cents.....

I'm also going to be going with a 6" lift. Which kit would give the best ride on road, as mine will be a daily driver?

thanks

Re: best 6\" suspension

A softride or Superride kit would be best for ride quality... Although my 4" HD lift wasn't bad!

Re: best 6\" suspension

I used to run Superlift springs front and rear, and thought those ran pretty good, but until I ran National springs there is no comparrison. National has no competition. My opinion only.

But are they really worht that much extra money??? Last time I called, they wanted $950 for 4 springs and that was about 5 years ago!

I personally like the BDS and Skyjacker softrides... Superlift superrides ride nice too! Give more inof on what the truck will be used for...$$$ allowed, etc.

I like and use Skyjacker. I have had Superlift and Rancho, by far, Skyjacker is the best IMHO.

Re: best 6\" suspension

Lets just say when I installed my Supperlift, the springs didn"t sit even, saged even more so a year later. I felt the softrides were a little boaty loaded down with extra weight and camping equiptment. Thats even with Rancho 9000 adjusted to the extra weight. National I get about the same ride quality empty or loaded. They also sat perfect when instslled and the back end doesn"t hang way down when loaded. If you want a off road spring that performs GREAT, then go a custom spring like National. You get what you pay for. Now is the extra $$$$ worth it, It was for me but it may not for everyone else.

Re: best 6\" suspension

I have messed around with several different lift brands. I currently have 4" front and rear springs on my 85 K30 and am very happy with them. The shocks, however, are what gives me problems. I had some good soft shocks when I first got the truck and it rode nice. Those wore out and I was cheap, so I got the Rancho RS5000 shocks. They are still on it today, but I am not happy with those. Wished I had saved up a little more and gone with the RS9000's.

My 82 K30 that I bought from Shawn is going to see 6" Skyjacker front and rear springs. The RS9000 shocks will see duty also. I am not going with the ORD shackle flip because I dont plan on this truck to be a "flexer". Its going to be more an "all purpose vehicle".
