TSL's are a decent tire but God forbid they ever see snow. Went wheeling in the mountains 2 weeks ago and even with 4wd those tirese are much happier going sideways than forwards on anything frozen.
Hmm, I never had that problem with my tsl/r. My avatar pic over to the left there is my blazer in the snow with my old tsls on, that were worn down to the wear bars. Never had any problems, and to get to that spot we had to go up some decent hills that were sold packed ice. 12psi,3rd gear, 4hi, and a gentle steady foot on the pedal. In fact I ended up pulling out a couple trucks, and honestly I was surprised in how well the did, since I had the "baldest" tires in our group.
