I've had decent results out of 3M stuff, but the typical auto parts supply stuff craps out long before the can is empty...if you tilt it at all it stops spraying the liquid.
I only use the NON chlorinated type, because sometimes the parts get welded on.

What have you used with good results in regard to cleaning effectiveness, a good spray pattern without a straw (fan pattern), and position of the can while being able to get a good liquid spray?

I've been using "Johnson" brand thats on sale for 1.99 once in a while at a local department store--their other products like carb cleaner and chain lube, etc, are also decent...you can get chlorinated or non in the brake cleaner..I use it mostly on other parts than brakes but it works well..as good as any other brand on the shelf next to it for 2 bucks a can more..
The cans will spray upside down for only a few seconds before only propellant comes out,but I think most all aresol cans are that way--any that will spray upside down will cost more for that feature (and may not always work anyway IMO)..

The kind that quit getting produced around your 30th bday. My dad/uncle's tranny shop has some mega old cans that will literally melt your hand off.

3M is the strongest in my experience. Goes on sale at Napa and I grab a case.

CRC at available a Dollar Gen by me a works fine.

Johnsons just as good but smaller can, its defininatly cheaper, at Walmart.

I have yet to have an any stop before it was empty, even the cheap auto parts chain brand.

Try some Carquest brand non chlorinated cleaner, iirc the part number is 1010. It's still very strong, not watery like many others. It's the only kind we used at the Toyota dealer I worked at.

Correction: part number 1010

That was 15 years ago right?

6 yrs ago. I worked there for 15 yrs, not 15 yrs ago. :D The techs used to complain the Toyota stuff got weak so we tried several brands, the Carquest was what they liked the most.

Gotcha! Curious what you do now.

Total change, computer programmer now. I like parts a whole lot more and the money was good but no time for family, you only get one shot with your kids so I jumped ship.

Nvrenuf I need you to talk me into leaving then. I am always stressed, getting bs since head in my dept and work so much no family time or time to enjoy life honestly!
