I am going to have my blazer painted this week but not exactly sure which color. The three im interested in would be navy blue (original), flat black, or orange to match the 350 under the hood :D

My goal is a US flag themed paint job Red White & Blue with big flames flowing down the sides. BIG & LOUD that screams PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! I'm sick of us being the country every one hates. F'um all!

stick with the original color....you will thank me later if you do...

do you care about the interior matching at all? Or is this just a banger?

A little, I mean the seats are blue but im in the process of stripping out the carpet and putting in roll on bedliner, it will just be used at the lease and i think i am leaning towards keeping it the stock color. But that orange is sweet lookin

I like the orange, but I like the blue too...I am just trying to let you know about all the other that comes up when you go changing colors like I did....
It usually affects everything else...unless you had neutral interior like gray or leather tan...
Orange outside but blue jambs...blue dash...blue inside doors...etc...

Original color will usually be less work too because you don't have to take it metal usually you can get away with sanding the paint...same color covers much better than a brighter color over top...you would have to use sealer to prevent bleed through.etc...etc...

Think about that blue with some accents in white....or even black accents :dunno:

Some folks are partial to orange. I wouldn't go full-on day-glo orange, unless you want to look like a DOT truck :haha:

I personally am partial to blue:

But other folks like black -- I can't do it, too hot here in CA, but to each their own. Also note that flat paint tends to be grittier, attract dirt more.

My other truck is done with Krylon "ultra-flat", and it gains ten pounds in dirt every time the wind kicks up.

You may deduce that I am also partial to camo patterns, primarily because they hide a multitude of sins in bad body work and/or shoddy driveway paint jobs :D

All 3 ideas are good, really like the look of orange but with a blue interior IDK. If you combined the blue and satin or matte black that would look sharp. I would not go flat black gives it the look of a old BBQ,IMO.

Do it like the original two tone with the blue as the dominate color and the insert satin black.

My favourite has always been the two tone blue / white from the earlier 73-80 trucks! Esspecially with the pimpin' hood stripes :D

This is a picture of an old friend long dead :( My first truck! This picture is almost 10 years old, the day I brought it home from the farm...

Great ideas but I have not settled on a conclusion yet...After I get it runnin I will post a pic of whichever color I paint it :waytogo:

You say that like it's a bad thing!

Personally, I like orange (and DOT trucks). Not so sure I'd rock orange with a blue interior, though.

In the OP's case, I'd probably opt for a blue or black exterior.

I still drool over this rig. Seriously.

I categorically doing photochops of a crew cab with a Chalet camper in dayglo orange. Didn't happen. There is no proof. (I don't think ... might have posted them in with the cow-pattern and tiger stripes  )

Thanks. It is definitely a work in progress ... but your chance may come, as I may thin the herd yet again.
