best performance th400 rebuild kit?

i know a ton of people run th400's in their trucks, whats the best performance rebuild kit out there? for now the truck has a stock 350tbi, but when the motor goes its going to get a healthy 383tpi or big block of some sort. what would you guys recommend?

Also, is there a deeper gearset available for the th400 (hopefully not $1,000,000)? i wish 1st gear was deeper, but i guess with a built motor with more torque thats no long as important

there is a deeper planatary but its about $500 and really not much different from going from 4:10s to 4:56's. I think TCI sells it. Spends ur money on something else.

yea im not gona mess with deeper gears in the tranny. i had heard some so-so stuff about TCI but i think that was just about the 700r4's, the th400 are pretty solid to begin with so i doubt there are any issues with them.

I was running a bm kit in my 400. This tranny was the first to last more than 2 years. I had horrible luck with the 350s. Bm kit cheap and durable. Right now im considering a TCI reverse manual valve body. I heard this was a more solid setup. Waitng on funds.
