Finally got delivery of the 71 I bought off ebay. Needs clutch. Any recommendations on what brand to get and where to get it? Been looking online, and the selection and price range is all over the place. It's the original 350 with the SM 465. Mostly street/highway use.
Thanks,
-Tim

I have heard from many on this forum that like Napa Gold clutches. They are the same ones that centerforce uses but without all those weights on them.

Get a diaphram type, much easier on the foot.
I will be using a Luk Pro Gold behind my 454.
I used a centerforceII for years with no problems.

LUK ProGold is the one to get that many napa's carry...IMHO, Napa brand clutches are CRAP (and I work there) that is why we carry LUK instead. I have had a Centerforce DF (waste of money in my opinion) a LUK ProGold (behind my 454 currently) and a LUK RepSet (in my XJ). I think it is hard to beat LUK clutches for the money. I think a RepSet for a 350 #04-064 is like $125 or so and the ProGold #04-902 is like $185 or so. And yes, the pressure plate on my old center force had "LUK" stamped on it /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
