Getting ready to finally (after 4 years) do my axle swap. Any ideas where to get the u-bolts? I need them a bit taller to support my zero rate...

also,a bout the top plate... do I need a new one, or should I just drill out the old one? I guess I could just fill up the gap with some weld...

What gap ya talkin' about?

I got mine from Summit. They are the Superlift brand. You'll need new spring plates for your new axle. DIY sells those

Not sure about where you;re at, but theres a handfull of suspension shops here that have ubolts either on the shelf or will custom bend them for you on the spot to your specs.

after I re drill the spring plate so that it fits the u-bolts, it will look more like a oval than a hole.

Guess I could just get a new spring plate. I dont see it listed on your website. email ya?

there's that much of a difference?! sorry, didnt measure, so I didnt know. :doah:

If that can be done, I'll just chuck it in the drill press and call it a day.

If you are using the zero rate to move the axle, it will either be 1" or 1.5" forward or backwards.

The holes probably won't interfere with one another. I don't remember them being that large. If they do, it doesn't matter in the least. The hole is for clearance for the nut on the center pin and nothing else. drill it and let her buck.

I think We're getting the two confused. I was questioning the holes that the u-bolts go through, not the hole for the alignment pin.

I got mine from Ruff Stuff. They look nice in the box, but I have yet to install them. :D
