I was sitting here think about the best place to hook up an after market fuel pump so it is on when keyed on. I hooked into my windshield wipers one time and my windshield wipers would run real slow all the time. I hooked to the valve that switches between fuel tanks one time and my front tank would last forever but my rear tank would only be partially full when i switched to it (valve was getting partial power, same as windshield wipers) My best thought was to run a relay off of one of these items so it wouldn't bleed through to whatever I was hooked up to. Then it hit me...I will ask the wonderful people on CK5! TIA...

What year is this? Best option is to switch a relay off of the fuse panel, if the fuse panel has terminals that are unused for ignition 12V. Of course 12V to the pump directly from the battery or a battery junction box/block.

I suppose it depends on year. If you have a fuse panel that uses blade fuses, I know for a fact there are ignition hot spare terminals on it. Glass fuse panels I believe there are as well, but not as easy to tap into I believe.
