best upgrades

how much do the ss brake lines run for?
About $100. I got mine from offroad design. Good upgrade for a lift so you dont rip your brake lines out when flexing. They also dont expand with heat and limit fluid. If your looking for power, good cheap mods are an intake and headers. If your looking for better offroad capability, nothing beats some lockers. Or at leat a locker in the rear. Lower gears will give you more torque to the wheels resulting in faster acceleration and improved crawling. Your tranny will also thank you for the lower gears. Probably the cheapest way to get lower gears is to find a set of axles with the gears already in them. You should be able to find some 3.73 or 4.10 geared axles for somewhat cheap. Throw a 14ff rear in (so you dont have to worry about breaking that) and find a 3/4 ton 10 bolt or d44 front. Should be able to find both for anywhere between $150-400. I wouldnt pay more than $400.

thought maybe you wanted them to look "cool", to kill your breakover angle, or to inhibit suspension movement. 3 things ladder bars are very good at.

how is your rear lifted now?

perfect upgrade, under $200, go to a flip..

trouble is thats kind of a big job for me to do without a lot of help from my buddy and his dad....and that is kind of unlikely as they have a couple projects themselves...i`m hoping to save that chance at getting some help for the 14ff swap...

what about just 4 inch leaf springs...or should i just keep the current setup?

if your not comfortable doing it, i'd wait and do the flip when ya can if your back springs are decent... it'll ride so much better than lift springs, plus rear 4" springs'll run ya upward of 300 to 350 probably...

perfect time to do it will be with the 14b swap...

the blocks are your problem, a set of 4" lift springs is an option, although a 4" shackle flip is a better option. it will ride better with stock springs and a shackle flip.

there's your solution to your axle wrap problems. it doesnt really get any better than this setup.

and while you're in an axle swapping mood...
