Best way to anchor a camping platform

Hello all,

I'm looking to have some storage and some platform for sleeping when out camping/hunting. I have built a midweight platform and am finishing up the drawers. When installed, the whole unit takes up the entire back of the blazer starting at the hump and going all the way to the tailgate. I need to anchor it to the K5 somehow and I am hopeful that you fine folks will have some ideas of how to do that....if I can do it without hurting my truck or doing irreparable damage, that would be my first choice. What say you? Any ideas?

I'd get (4) 1" longer body mount bolts and incorporate the body mount to the frame of your camper/drawer setup and bolt it down. Hopefully your design is strong and has a base to bolt to... otherwise some tabs off the hardtop bolts could work somehow.

I've had luck using the holes where the top used to mount (soft top now). Also I've used some pretty big rivnuts with good results.
I use my 77 in some pretty rough and high speed situations and haven't had a failure yet.

I've been thinking through the same thing. The best way is to tie it all into the cage....

The fold and flip back seat has two bolts at the front of the floor. If you had a factory spare tire carrier, there is another solid anchor point just in front of the fuel fill. It's also conceivable to use the seat floor latch pockets (draw latch? ratchet strap?). That leaves the driver rear corner kind of flopping. It would be sweet to find a pair of body-mount bolts that also receive an inside thread at the top, but those are likely in the path of your drawers.
