Are they chrome plated aluminum or just polished?

I have a set but I don't think they are clear coat so can polish them with any aluminum polish. They do have some fine cut marks in them, so if they are bad enough they need to be sanded be sure to sand with the groves

Those look like they still have a shine to then. I'd try zephers pro50 which will clean and then use the pro40 to Polish. Its a liquid Polish so you can rub in until dry and then wipe or use a Polish ball if you want. I get the zepher at my local peterbilt dealership but if not call them they can help you out I found out with to purchase, they are very helpful. Their products is what is used on all the show big rigs. The first time I've used it was on these work peterbilts and I was very impressed as ive used mequires, mothers, blue magic and others.

If you think they are worse. Take an up close pic of the surface :p

Jess arent those clear coated? My dad has them on his burb and they are clear coated and look like crap, just like my wheels on my blazer.

I'm just trying to clean them up so they don't look like total dog poo. I don't have the kind of wheels like Teck has, they are stock 03 chevy 6 lug wheels. I'm gonna try a few things you guys suggested and go from there

I cleaned mine with dish soap and a green scotch rite pad. Gets all the crap off and then hit it with mothers chrome shiner. Brought it back nice. Mine were clear coated but most was coming off. Steel wool will take that off where it is peeling and not scratch the finish.

Those PYO`S got a clear coat on them.
You will nead to get that off before you can do anything with them.
I used Aircraft striper...they are forged wheels and are a f#cker to sand.
I had pits under the clearcoat and didn`t have to much luck geting them out. Alot of sanding and hand polishing.
They looked good when I was finally done with them but the shine didn`t last long in nice Alberta winter.

The best would be...have them striped.beaded and powdercoated clear.
But from the guy I priced it would cost 80.00 bucks a wheel to do.
