Best way to modify a fan shroud or should i buy.

I just put in my 4 row. I got the top brackets and the pads. Everything went in perfectly. But...Uh, there is always a but...Now when sitting still It gets real hot. Moving it stays cool as I want it to be.
I didn't put the fan shroud back on because it wouldn't fit. Can I buy a shroud to fit from the dealer? Or how would I modify this one to get it right?

just buy an after market electric fan. wire it to a toggle switch.
a 14inch fan would do the cooling job u need. plus when wheelin the extra fan comes in handy !

your old shroud should work , i have a 4 core in my k10 and my shroud fits fine , i think cant memeber for sure

I used nippers/cutters/hacksaw/jigsaw/small circular saw combo to modify the shroud. hehe.

I did the sides and the top, and now it fits fine..Do the side that touches the radiator, not the fan side. Then I put some rubber trim pieces on the edges to keep the sharp edges off the radiator. Looks stock.

Hey Jeromy,

I don't know what is not fitting so I won't say anything as far as modifying it, but I would think you should be able to go to a local J-yard and pull one off of any Chevy truck from 73-?? that had a origanal 4-core in it. Good Luck Bro.
