Let's hear your tips and tricks for prepping inside of K5 for bedliner. Getting all dust out will be fun in the end I know!

I purposely tried putting some roll on liner over a dirt patch for a test and it wouldnt come off so its not super crucial to have a immaculate surface. I steel wooled the inside of the truck, then used car wash soap and let all the water bake out in the sun. After that I acetoned all surfaces and it was ready.

Mine seems to be holding up well too, I've put it through the paces in the last 4 months since I did it. I think the roll on stuff is the best.

I used a palm sander with some 40 grit anywhere I could. Red scuff pad all over after that. Shop vac'd it about a half dozen times. Wipe down with Xylene which is a very strong solvent and is also used to thin the bedliner to get the right spray texture. I used Liner Xtreeme with great results as have a few other on here. Same.

Did that kit I think 3 years ago and it seems to be ok. We shall see now that the top is going to be off most of the time. I still have half the kit left over, if its any good id like to clean the thing out, strip it down and spray the rest in.
