Listing for a friend. he has a bestop softtopper for sale. it's the top only, no hardware or frame. the thing has never been mounted or used but it's been sitting in storage for a while. no cracks or dry rot. it just needs a good cleaning to get the dust off. $300 obo + shipping. located in NJ.

call jim (732) 740-0476 or email him at [email protected]

Is there any where to get the hardware for this? I did a google search and came up with nothing.

new price $200. he wants this gone.

I'd love to have it, but it's worthless without the frame and hardware. I contacted Bestop and they advise it's been discontibued (knew that) but they won't support it and have no parts either. If I could find the parts, I'd buy it today. Any ideas?

I did the same thing yesterday. Maybe off of E-bay or something, but I didn't look.

It's only good for someone that already has the top complete and the soft top is work and wants a new one.
:dunno:

agreed. or if you know someone who has a soft top and a tube bender your could use their frame as a template and make your own frame. they are a very simple design.

Any idea on a shipping cost to 49319? I may be masochistic enough to attempt reverse engineering of the frame.

Is this the Tigertop model? It looks like it requires snaps along the cab roof and tailgate, + 1 in each corner above the tailights.

Any one check with ORD http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/softtops.htm to see if their hard ware would work?

The Softopper that we now carry is a different design.

As far as I know the Tigertop is the only one Bestop ever made for Blazers and you had to drill/screw each snap into the body/tailgate.

Ok I talked to my friend back east about this. He said it should be easy for a Boat Top maker to fab a frame.

You would use a deck hinge they do make double hinges, all parts are available from marine suppliers.

Royken would be the man to PM for better info. It can be done guys! If I was in Ohio where Chuck (does all the boats at Rossford Marina starts in April and has three to four deep at all times on their lot) is I would be on it and make some money. What is a NEW top worth?
