Is this the Tigertop model? It looks like it requires snaps along the cab roof and tailgate, + 1 in each corner above the tailights.

yes, it's the snap on type. i have the same one that i'm planning on using. i'm going to have a local lady who makes boat canvas alter it for me. the plan is to use extruded awning track mounted to the rear of the cab utilizing the factory bolt holes.

then i'll have the leading edge of the top rolled around some rope to make a bead to run through the track. this will give me a tight flush leading edge that can't leak.

i'll use some aluminum angle down the sides of the bed and i'll attach curtain fasteners to that instead of snaps. i like the curtain hangers better because they don't pull out of the sheet metal as easily as snaps because you don't have to yank on them to open the sides.

then the sides of the top will be shortened so it doesn't hang past the bedrail and grommet holes for the curtain fasteners will be put on. this way i won't have to drill any holes in the roof or down the sides of the bed to mount snaps.

i will have to screw into the tailgate but i'm planning on using curtain fasteners there, too.

Run that is basically what we talked about doing as a way NOT to drill body. This guy knows his boats and you pretty much described what he said to do.
