i have a 90 v1500 suburban and the brakes suck. it has stock vaccume boost on it now but i heard hydro boost is way better. i'm asking if there is a direct swap in for this problem and truck.and what might be involved.

This has been covered a few times if you do a search, and you could also PM Mrk5 who's done it on his. I think he did a write up on it on 4x4mecca.

Oh....and that's 'brakes':D

No, mine were breaks. As in always breaks, but never brakes.

Here is the article on discs that Mark is talking about. His axle is a 14bff, I really don't know what is offered for a 10b. Someone will chime in.

well after alot of looking on the web and parts books i found out a 1990 V pickup came standard with hydrobost on the diesel and gas setups. i wounder if that would be a direct bolt on cause i can go to parts store and buy booster master cyl. and power steering pump for the V. what else would you think would be needed to change? lines and so forth should be the same i guess. any ideas?

A1-Cardone 10-2754, 1999 Chevy P30 Van, 4wheel Disc. I had the number saved and it is supposed to be a great swap alternative. I have not done it, but someone here probably has.
