Beware of the heeps!

just curious but what is the towing ability of the h3?

maybe a buggy on a trailer???????
If memory serves me, I think the H3 has a tow cap of 4500 lbs. (that's what I think I remember seeing in the manual.)

As for ours, it will never tow anything anyway. I don't tow anything very often, but when I do, I use my 97 K1500. I will say that I do love the H3's 4.56 gears, and 4:1 t-case though. That little sucker creeps around pretty good. Too bad it doesn't have a solid fron axle though. :( Who knows, perhaps many years down the road it might.. well ours anyway. ;)

I know you meant sick as in cool but actually getting sick isn't out of the question. I only know a few people that have H3's and the one thing that I have noticed is that it is really built for smaller guys but mainly women. Everyone that I know that has one and is taller than 6' or so says they feel like they are driving out of a mail slot.

Perhaps next time, they'll "test drive" something before they buy it. And, if they did test drive it, then they only have themselves to blame.

I'm almost exactly 6' even, and I have no problems inside the H3. I do think the roof line is a bit lower than other vehicles I have, or have owned, but it poses no problems for me. I can see where someone who is taller might have a different take on it.

i wouldn tow with an h3... they are based off colorados so the biggest engine you can get is that 5 cylinder

Doesn't really matter if it's the wife's vehicle though. The two that I know personally it's the wife that drives it.

It would have mattered to me, I drive my wifes here and there.. and I ride in it too. Usually if we go somewhere as a family, all together, then we take the wifes ride. So, if it was too small for me inside, we would have found something else.

maybe they could stick their heads out the sunroof, like those old go carts with fiberglass bodies.. LOL! That would be sweet.. except for the bugs in the teeth.

Yeah that and what would happen if you got into an accident. lol

The sunroof would slamb forward, lop your head off... and send it bouncing along the roadway. But it would get the bugs out of your teeth. :D

Boy, we sure have hi-jacked Metrodps' post.
I'm 5'11" and I don't wear a John Deere hat, and I have the sunroof (lower headliner) and H3 is comfortable.
I can run 90MPH accross a 100* desert for hours, stop, airdown, punch the traction buttons, punch-up some music, flip on the AC, and run the 'Con. With the back seat out, sleep in it too. Its no substitute for my Burb, but its better than all the others in its class.:D

Kinda reminds me of when I was flying once and got up to use the restroom and saw a guy I knew I yelled Hi Jack......... :doah:

Long arm suspension, 39" krawlers, OBA, etc. etc. Would make a really cool rig IMO.

I hate to admit it but; I kinda think it grows on ya. Different tires brush guard might be right things....

Looks ok. Kinda don't like the all plastic fenders, but hey, means that improving tire clearance up front when swapping tires and wheels only means taking those plastic fenders off.

Really, a jeep doesn't look right to me at all unless it's got a lot of rock rash from being bashed against and dropped down hard onto some rocks.

I tell you what I love em. Full convertable and all the doors come off. This is pretty much the jeep I have wanted for years. They will probably be expensive as hell to modify but I still want one. BTW I want an H3 too. I think they look awesome. Saw one lifted with 37s on it, too cool

Even though it's priced to sell I just CAN'T get past the Yuppie factor with the H3. Hell even the H1, even though it's all business, is still only a rich man's rig. At least Jeeps for all the hate they get here are still attainable by the average Blue Collar.

I haven't noticed an H3 Yuppie factor, in fact if you look at the HUMMER forum by Elcova, they seem like rabid gadget nutballs. Some of those folks tear them up like we do our Ks. It is bought, not built though.:haha:

Maybe it's just my area, admittedly I do live amongst a hsitload of 'them' of course now that the new FJ is out the H3's are getting traded in, I wonder what will be next...? I'll have to check out these torn into H3's.

Can't imagine trading down to an FJ from an H3, or trading down to anything else in the mid-size class for that matter. I've seen down-select from H2 to H3 though.:haha:
