About 2 years ago WAM Bumpers used to be named Tactical Armor Group. They had good prices on bumpers. I ordered one for my 91 Suburban. My card was charged for the full amount and I received nothing but lies that it was in production or some other bull. I was strung along so long I couldn't get a charge back on my credit card to get my money back. I see they are back in business as Wam Bumpers. If you dig around enough a person learns they have gone by several names and have ripped off countless people. Buyers beware!! Learn from mistakes!!

I went from that $hithole experience and did a 180 and bought a Gauntlet from Kurt at DIY4X. It was done sooner than expected and his quality is second to none in my book!!!

What about that other awesome bumper you have?....

:haha:

They started off as Kennesaw Mt. then went to TAG and now back as WAM?

It's a shame they can't get their business sh*t together. They make (made) a decent product. I had one of their KM rear bumpers that I never got to instal on my old blazer. It was a really well built unit.

Oh wow I didn't realize that was Kennesaw Mtn., I remember that trainwreck. To add to that, iirc K.M. took a bunch of money from customers, died and was later revived only to die again before becoming TAG.

Wam gets a bunch of good reviews but I'm betting it's the honeymoon phase of business. In a year or so they will start ripping people off because they suck at business.

Years ago I was in ATL on business and ran by Kennesaw bumpers. They had a little hole behind a towing company. The place was a mess and what they called production was pretty amateur looking. That day I made the decision I would not be buying a bumper from them especially for the price they were charging.

I just bought a WAM bumper from them and couldn’t be more pleased. I was contacted through the entire process several times by Natalie as to the status of my order and sent pics to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.

I think it was 5 Weeks or so from the time I ordered the bumper until I received it. I have no affiliation with them, but I would not hesitate to do business with them again. From what I understand, they bought the designs from TAG/kennesaw mtn but are a completely different company.

Here are some pictures:

I have a buddy in the Xterra circles that has been promoting WAM and has several folks in his area who have ordered from them. They seem to be on top of things and like was mentioned before, they just bought the designs from TAG/KM. They are getting pretty good reviews everywhere I've seen them mentioned but are having a hell of a time living down the infamy of the former owner.

Their stuff looks well made and they seem to be on top of things. In the world of Nissan though, 3-6mos lead time is common since its usually only a few small companies that offer products and it doesn't pay to keep prebuilt product on the shelf for such niche vehicles when Toyota and Jeep rule the roost of sales volume.

I ordered from a more well known company that's been in business longer to get my bumper but I considered WAM's hidden winch mount first.

I just find it hard to believe they just bought the plans from TAG/KM when WAM has the same address as well. A person has to make their own decisions when it comes to spending their money. Just do one's homework well if considering this company!

Seems like usually what happens with these companies is they do great for about the first year, then they start getting more orders than they can keep up with and it all goes downhill.
