BF Goodrich 37X12.5X16.5 Baja T/A (New HMMWV tires)

Is anybody running these? Looking for reviews, pros and cons.

I see them a few times a week when I'm in the motorpool. They look like good tires. The tread looks good, way better than the MT's.

How is the wear, do the have good grip, how do they hold up in the snow and mud?

You forgot two important questions:
-are they round?
-Can they be balanced for highway driving.

I have always assumed them to be better then the Wrangler MTs, but have never found good 1st-hand comparisons.

I'm just gonna use them on my land and trails and run through the mud with them. I planned on balancing them with BB's or Air soft pellets.

They can be had for $175 at 80% tread (I believe).

They look a helluva lit better than the MT's, the tread on the BFG Baja's looks like the have the same amount of grip as the MTR's, maybe better.

I had a few of them but only bought and sold them. A few of them were brand new, too, and I still have two of them leftover in the shop. Still have the tits and white stenciled letters/numbers on them.

Its my understanding that these Baja tires wear out the fastest of all the Hummer tires. The MTR's rank 2nd in wear while the MT's seemingly last forever. Not real sure what others say about the RT's because they're bias ply.

If it's just trails, why is treadwear your biggest concern? Can you even run enough miles per year on trails to wear them down before they dry rot? If it was your daily driver, that would be another story.

I've only got three multi-day rock crawling trips on mine plus about 3,000 street miles.

Mine seem to have very good grip aired down to 10 psi front, 6 psi rear. Hangs with the slightly bigger tire guys pretty well. I have a 6.2 thus the extra air in the front. I did groove mine like Trailworthy Fab does. See pic in the process of grooving.



On the street they are surprisingly quiet. I drive my truck 2 1/2 hours each way to the wheeling spot at 65 with no issues. I have about 2,500 airsoft BB's in each wheel for balancing. Seems to work well.

I'm not a big fan on the directionals the MT's offer either. I like to be able to rotate tires on both sides front and back. I'd choose MTR's over all of the selections but those seem to cost the most both in used and new varieties.
