Hey guys, yes i understand. search button, i have for the last few days however there is no real answers out there. Many, answers like "it has some tread left" or "it looks pretty good" But no real mileage or tread depth numbers. Thats what i am after.

I am looking to get some 39.5" bias iroks. I drive my truck prob 50-75miles a week at most during summer, not to much during the winter months. All the reviews im getting are that they wear out FAST. It almost sounds like running comp tires on road. I do not want to throw away the money after 5k miles and have them less than half. They start out with 20/32nd So anyone with some real numbers/mileage wanna let me know how they hold?

I put about 5K on my Iroks and they were about 70% there when I sold them. They wear out faster the older they get. I would not expect much more than 15000 out of them. Keep em balanced and rotate them and check your air pressure alot.

My buddy ran bias TSL's and they lasted 1000 miles of street use before they needed to be replaced.

1000??? or 10,000?? What the heck kinda truck was it on for them to wear out in 1000. Also is worn out 50% or what.

I have no idea about bias plys, but I run 36" radial Iroks. They have about 20,000 on them and are at about 5%-10% tread left, but I have horrible camber and toe issues. I probably could have run 15k more on them with a correct alignment, and rotating more often.

Yes, 1,000 miles not 10,000 miles. It was on a 1st gen blazer and by wore out i'm talking down to the wear bars.

Nope, just normal street driving. He couldn't believe how quickly they wore out either.

Thats horrible. Even R Compounds wont wear that fast. you would think with the added diameter they could atleast carry 5k or more

1,000 miles! Something is wrong with his truck. I have about 2,500 on mine and they still look really good. I'll be happy if I get anywhere close to 8,000 or 10,000.

I agree that something have to be wrong with the truck, or that number has been greatly exaggerated. 78Buford has 42" bias TSL's on his welded rear axle, big block, 7,000 lb. (at the time) truck and he's put 500 miles on them in a single trip to reach some out of state trails, and repeated that same trip a couple of times not counting all of the other wheelin' trips through the years before he got a trailer (averaged at least 150-200 miles per trip). They are nowhere near the wear bars.

Nothing is wrong with his truck, he has since changed to a different tire and has been fine ever since. There is a good possibility that he got a bad set of tires or maybe they were old date coded tires.

I really only get 5k - 6k on my bias tsl's (39.5) but for me thats 5 years or so, air pressure has to be checked daily or you will wear out the tires. My load range D tsl's lasted 10k on the same truck (36's) and that was with regular rotation and weekly air pressure checks and a detroit in the rear. Iroks will wear out faster imo, so there not going on my truck. Hell, they wear out fast on Toyota's.
