I have the money to get new tires. So what do you like? For my trail rigs I have always ran the TSLs in bias play and like em. I am now looking and am tore between the IROK in BIAS PLY vs the TSL in Bias. cost right now is about $14 more for the IROK. I also looked at the radials, but am not convinced the radial is worth it as the only highway miles they see and usually just to hunting camp.

I am going to be matching the tires up with steel rims for the trail( I have alums for now) Any suggestions there for a 6 lug chevy rim for cheap? I am watching CL but not much luck yet.

Check with the wrecking yards for rims...

Have you looked at the SXs??? I love my 38.5 SXs... I'm hoping to step up to the 43s...

Get bias rockers instead :p

So I looked into the Bias Ply Rockers. 2 things iam concerned about: 1. Did not see many snow reviews mainly rocks and mud. 2. They do not appear to make a 36x15. I might not be able to clear a 37. Again the price difference appears to be about $60 per tire. Do you feel they will have a significant amount of performance increase to justify a $240 price difference?

I've seen the rockers do great in the snow... There's a few people running them up here and they work really good...

I will give you a snow review. UNREAL! best tires I have ever run in snow. Oddly enough I have run Iroks and radial Swampers in the snow.

Now mind you that is deep snow. On ice they suck. Kind of like the swamper and the the Irok sucked on ice though of those three the Irok was the best on ice

If you are considering the bias ply rockers, they 37" bias ply is way short. If you think you can clear 36s you will clear the 37 just fine

What about sipping them in an attempt to get em better for the ice and improving the rocks?

I don't drive on icy roads much so doesn't really matter to me.

I am not sure in the rocks I climb really really well with my Pit Bulls but I don't like siped tires in the rocks cause the rocks I wheel mainly are jagged and brutal on tires, you sipe em and you will lose great chunks of tire.

I've run the tsl's the sx's and am running the irok radials now. They all suck on ice. sx's are diggers. great for mud and wide enough to do good in snow if aired down, but chunked out so badly I couldn't drive faster than 45 without serious wobble issues. the iroks (radials) are only better in one area and that's the road manners. all around i don't think you can beat the tsl. have no experience with pit bulls but hear good things about them too. tsl is a proven tough ass tire with minimal draw backs.
