bias vs. radial

ya i think from what ive heard im leaning more radial probably the trxxus mud terrain. but time will tell ive got awhile before my tires wear out and i wont be buying tires until then. money is super tight until my trail truck is done.

I personal prefer the Ground Hawg. They do last along time, and look mean as heck. The Ground Hawg 2's are radial tire.

I'm thinkin about a set of 40" hawgs for some summer shoes. :D

I run 38.5x14.5x16 thornbirds on my 75 and am changing up to 39 in iroc radials because of the flat spots and quick wear. I will be lucky to get 20000 out of my thornbirds. Ihave run radials in the past and have had much longer life of tread. Although the bias are great on the trail aired down, But the problem is I don't have a trailer rig and the trip to the trail (normally 2 to 3 hrs) wears on the tires. Just my opinion.

I drive my k5 every day to school and to work.
I got some 38x13x16 bias ply TSL's and i could see them wear daily. A 100 mile trip i'd see some more tread missing.
After a few months of driving every day on em i bought some cheap 8 lug rims and shaved my calipers to fit my old 35x12.50x15 BFG mud terrains.
35's for DD... 38's for Offroad.

If your gonna be driving on the street a lot, id say go with a radial because they're made for street driving, but be warned swampers are way softer than like procomps or bfgs.

well if ya could afford it... go with a non agressive street tread for dd and swap over to your mudder tires for wheelin....

I got my 40" hawgs on... and debating on getting 44" hawgs(as they run a bit smaller) for when I am gonna wheel.....only the deep goo....:cool1:
