Ok, I did not check any numbers but I can tell you this, the only BBC blocks that ever had the large oil passage were the 1966 396 and ALL 427 blocks. Here in the pic i've circled the passage in black and in this pic there is a reducer bushing installed bringing the hole back down to 3/8" NPT.
