Big tire no lift pics?

2-3 inches of lift, no body lift. 38.5s.

Red truck is zero lift 11r16s, round about 38.5 " tall but way skinny.

Yellow truck is zero lift with 36x12.50s swampers, they were bias ply and were at least as tall as every radial 37 we put em up against.

37s are basically easy to fit with a dead bone stock suspension

If you did a ez inches in front and back to move the front forward and the back to the rear it would make fitting 37s cake with a much cleaner cut

My old build thread for Big Ugly. Trying to find my old "flexing" pics.

'86 M1008 CUCV K30. Stock suspension except for 1" zero rates in the front. Cut the fenders and put a longer driver's side steering stop bolt in. 11.00R16 (38x11R16) Michelin XL's on 2007 GM 16x7 wheels. Worked great.

This thread is awesome:thumb:

So for all you with little to no lift and stuffed tires, how did your rig do offroad?

Or maybe more specifically, whats better, ground clearance or articulation? I see a lot of rigs with crazy amounts of droop and i wonder how much farther that really gets you up the trail...There has to be a point of diminishing returns.

Maybe we need a new thread for this thought process, but I'm curious about the feedback

Here is about 5" lift with 42" rockers, the front axle is 2" forward which seems about right, I did trim the bottom of the core support, inners are trimmed, but I have no contact on the firewall area.
I'm bumpstopped for about 3.5-4" of uptravel but have right about 10" down (15" travel shocks and use almost all of it)

Ok I admit this is not so much Blazer any more but I still call it Blazer.

39.5" Boggers, but the lift, or lack of it, is harder to measure.

Lets say the height to the door window is 51". I still have 4-5" to the 2" bumpstops.

The front wheel is at 51".

Thank you very much.

As you can see, I usually do not care so much how it looks. If it works it is fine.
Dents and all are all ready there so it wont hurt to drive it as I use to.

It has been a slow process, over 4 years now, but it is finally getting there.

Here you can see how far back the engine is

And a year ago I got to drive it a little but the trans lost the reverse and other things happened too so one more year again...

We got some snow last winter

Stuck again, did not remember those ruts to be that deep:doah:
