Big tires with little lift - Let's see them

Sort of old, but...

About 8" with 44s. Picture taken at Morris Mountain, Alabama on 11-26-05.

6" Alcan fronts (49", center pin 1.5" forward)) with relocated front shackle, 2.5" Alcan rears (54"), shackle flip, 1" body lift, and 39.5" TSL's...plus just a smidge of fender trimming.

Rene

4" front, homegrown shackle flip rear, little bit of trimming. 11.00x16 XZLs = 38.5"x12.50" actual size on 6.5"x16" stock Dodge wheels. Front axle is J**P J-20 Truck D44 and rear is Dodge D60. Both are a couple inches narrower than Chevy axles, so tires rub a little on the insides of the wheelwells. Basically, tall skinny tires fit surprisingly easy with minimal lift and trimming. Kinda reminds me of the lowrider look of the truck dropped down over the wheels and tires.

Severe trimming, flexy suspension, one tons, XMLs shortly.

6 inch dodge springs ( main & 2nd springs with the rest being chevy rears ) up front . Flip shackles in the rear with 2wd 3/4 ton suburban 54" springs . Lot's of fender trimming and 42" tsl swampers .

Looking good Rene! I don't think I've ever seen pics of your truck with doors and top. :D

Sure am glad they're on right now...it's still snowing. :doah:

We already have over a foot and could see another 3-6" overnight. Hopefully a lot of people stay home from work tomorrow...

Looks like something those crazy russians would wheel :waytogo:

I'm keeping the bod. Only prollem I see is in the front - tire to firewall/footwell.

piece of cake to fix. I had 35's on my 83 toyota 1" body lift only. I chopped the crap out of the rear of the fender and hammered it back to the body mount. same idea on a chevy. just a "mini tub" on the bottom of the floor to allow for the tire to come back.

how wide are the tires you planning on running?

About 15.5" wide I think. 46" actual size tall. A mini tub in the floor would prolly work. thx.
