No clue, I wish the price of d60's would come on down though. Its almost cheaper to do rocks. I think the d50's were used in 99 and up superdutys non duallys, But I could be wrong. Not that I could or would ever use a ford axle in my Chev. Just saying!

maybe its a F250 with a D50 in the front...y did dana ever make those? seems kind of pointless to have D44 stuff in a D60 case to me anyone know an actual reason?

I thought the 50's had d44 centers and d60 outers..

I'd take a stab at it and say that it was a cheaper way to put a 4x4 axle under a heavy diesel.. not sure how a standard d44 would hold up to all that weight.
